What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I like observing students' way of thinking, and their unique perspective an dprocess when it comes to learning new ideas, or recapping old ones, as there's always something to learn.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I'm patient and a good communicator. I'd say what I do best is approaching teaching a topic from a different angle if the student does not understand it. Also, I enjoy using analogies to convey the message to students.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Make sure the student fully grasps the topic at hand, rather than memorising how to do it. Although this may take a longer time, it is more beneficial to the students in the long run as they would have a solid foundational knowledge in teh subject

About Ahmed Issa Mohamed

Relatable High-Achiever with Strong Academic Drive

Ahmed is a recent school graduate heading into an Economics degree, bringing fresh, relevant academic skills to his tutoring. Through advanced secondary studies, he has built strong numeracy and analytical thinking that translate directly into clear explanations in Maths and support for written and spoken English. He believes in continuous learning and is comfortable tackling unfamiliar topics, which helps him break concepts down for students who feel β€œstuck” or lack confidence in class.

Leadership, Communication and Confidence-Building

This tutor has extensive experience speaking and debating in large international forums, where he researched complex topics, practised refutation, and presented arguments in front of hundreds of people. As a head-chair in a student conference, he guided groups, kept discussions on track and supported quieter participants to contribute. These experiences shape his tutoring style: he encourages students to ask questions, voice their thinking, and develop clear, well-structured answers in English and Humanities subjects.

Goal-Focused Mentor with Real-World Perspective

Ahmed brings a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork from captaining a football team and representing his country in golf at national level. Training multiple times a week while managing demanding studies has taught him time management and discipline, which he passes on through practical tips for homework planning and exam preparation. His background in student-led projects, including managing budgets and using spreadsheets, also helps him show students how Maths skills connect to real-life problem-solving.
