What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity to explore concepts in new and interesting ways. In mathematics especially, there are often multiple perspectives you can take when learning a new idea or solving a problem, and different students respond to different approaches. Revisiting concepts from different viewpoints not only helps the student but also deepens my own understanding. I find it incredibly rewarding to explore these angles and adapt my explanations so that each student can connect with the material in a way that makes sense to them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my main strengths as a tutor is being able to explain complex ideas in a clear and logical way. Studying mathematics and physics at university has shown me how important it is to properly understand the underlying concepts before trying to solve a problem. Taking a step back and focusing on the foundations makes it much easier to break questions into structured, manageable steps. I’m also patient and adaptable, and I take the time to adjust my explanations, examples, and pace to suit different learning styles so that each student feels supported and able to engage with the material conf

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is build confidence. In mathematics especially, confidence often becomes a real barrier for high school students who convince themselves they simply “can’t do it.†I strongly believe that with the right tools, time, and clear explanations, anyone is capable of not only improving in maths but even enjoying it. The first step is helping students develop the confidence to approach problems from different angles, ask questions openly, and persist rather than give up when they don’t understand something straight away.
