What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Personally, i've never worked professionally as a tutor of any sort but I have helped friends in class understand concepts. In these moments what I personally enjoy the most is seeing the cogs in the people I help out click and the satisfying "ohhhhhh" that comes out. It tells that i that I did a good job explaining and that my tutee finally understands a new concept/problem solving methodology.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strength in my ability to teach lies in my process of explaining things. For more complex math problems, I will solve the whole problem myself but I'll show every single step no matter how small a change to the equation and after I'll let my tutee try to understand the process first rather than just telling them everything and answering any questions they have. For simple problems I generally tutor the person with a more straight forward approach, explaining as we go along and giving them chances to get their own problem solving methods in and providing assistance if needed.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Personally, I consider the most important I can do for a student is having a clear enough explanation that they can understand it well enough to be able to independently apply it to further or more complex questions. If a student does not understand my process, I personally believe the next best thing would be to break that specific area down and demonstrate different examples that utilises that part of the process.

Strong Maths Skills and Real-World Work Ethic
Brandon is a maths-strong tutor who brings real-world discipline and reliability from his work experience into every session. Used to managing multiple tasks under time pressure, he plans lessons that are structured, punctual and efficient. His high mathematical ability means he can clearly explain concepts step by step, from basic numeracy through to more advanced high school topics. Parents can expect a tutor who takes responsibility seriously and models the focus and persistence students need for school success.
Patient Communicator Who Works Well With Others
Through roles that required constant communication with different teams and customers, Brandon has developed a calm, clear communication style that transfers naturally to tutoring. He is used to breaking down instructions, checking understanding, and adjusting his approach when someone is confused. In sessions, this translates into a patient, conversational style where students feel comfortable asking questions and admitting when they are stuck, helping build both confidence and independence.

Brandon’s background in jobs that demand time management, accuracy and cleanliness has shaped his tutoring approach: organised, methodical and adaptable. He is skilled at prioritising tasks, so sessions are focused on what matters most—homework support, exam preparation, or filling learning gaps. He adapts quickly to different student personalities and learning speeds, using simple examples and practical problems to keep lessons engaging while still pushing students to improve their results.
