What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

After working on a topic with the children, seeing them get the “ah hah†moment and comprehend the task and be able to carry it out by themselves with little to no support.

I’m a qualified primary school teacher so I have year of experience in the classroom. I’m patient, kind, approachable, reassuring and encouraging.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

To get down to their level and fully understand why they find a topic hard. Reassure them that we’re going to work on it together and stop along the way to allow them to ask questions or ensure they understand so far. Sometimes children say they understand when they don’t, so questioning would be a big one for me as it allows me if they comprehend what we’re carrying out. Be calm, friendly, patient and encouraging. When the children are able to carrying it out by themselves, make it a big deal, congratulate them by giving a high five and reminding them they are well able.
