What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

What i enjoy most about tutoring is sharing my knowledge about a specific subject. I love seeing students excell in their studies and me being a key component to their success.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

My strengths as a tutor includes being able to tolerate a students level of skill. Whether they are a bit behind or on track to being sucessful. Im also very enthusiastic and passionate about the subject making the job feel like a hobby than it beong means of employment.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student is not giving up on them and to keep helping them no matter what their skill level is. I also believe that tutors should be able to explain a subject in different ways until it clicks in their head as everyone learns differently. Furthermore, celebrating acheivement is important to build their confidence and to encourage effort. Tutors should teach problem solving skills and not just feeding answers so it builds their long term slills and build their independent thinking.

About Tharuk

Strong maths foundation from advanced secondary and university study

Tharuk brings a deep understanding of mathematics, built through an advanced secondary program focused on high-level maths and science, followed by a dual degree in Engineering and Economics. He has excelled in university engineering mathematics and problem-solving subjects, giving him a strong grasp of algebra, functions, calculus and logical reasoning. This tutor is well placed to help primary and high school students not just get the right answers, but also see how maths connects to real-world problems in a clear, step-by-step way.

Analytical, tech-savvy tutor who explains concepts clearly

With experience in problem-solving using Python and a high distinction in a university programming course, Tharuk is skilled at breaking complex ideas into simple, understandable steps. He uses this same structured thinking when tutoring, whether itโ€™s guiding a student through tricky word problems or helping them build confidence with unfamiliar topics. His strong communication skills, developed through customer-facing roles and team projects, mean he can adjust explanations to suit each studentโ€™s level and learning style.

Patient role model with diverse interests and community focus

Beyond academics, Tharukโ€™s background in community volunteering, piano and club basketball shows commitment, discipline and balance. He draws on these experiences to keep sessions engaging, using real-life examples from sport, music and everyday situations to make maths feel relevant and less intimidating. This tutor aims to be a calm, reliable role model, helping students build study habits, resilience and confidence, so they feel prepared not only for tests and assignments but for future learning as well.
