What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

When tutoring, I enjoy watching a concept “click†for a student as it is rewarding to be guiding them through confusion to seeing their confidence grow along the way. Tutoring can also deepen my own understanding of the subject no matter the grade to ensure personal growth and refine my communication skills as well as being able to approach problems from different perspectives. Additionally, I appreciate the connection I gain with students from different backgrounds where each of them tend to bring a unique experience, learning styles and communication, truly making each session dynamic.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My key strength as a tutor are being able to empathize with students and meet them at their starting point as well as match their learning pace with speed or patience. I will always ensure they grasp the concept before moving forward. I am capable of explaining the “why†behind concepts to ensure students understand the root instead of encouraging memorization. At the same time, if a unit requires memorization, I have constructed many memorization techniques throughout my education journey to be able to share it with students. My final strength is being able to encourage independent thinking.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Most important thing a tutor can do for students is being able to bridge the gap between the starting points and the expected performance to succeed, mainly through patience and adaptability. Another key duty as a tutor is the ability to make students enjoy the idea of learning where they are proud of every small step they make through the motivation we give. Finally, tutor should be able to give effective learning tips and study strategies to ensure their teaching will still linger after class ends, allowing students to think for themselves as well as organize their own study plan.

About Phearakyuth

Emerging STEM Mentor with Strong Maths Background

Phearakyuth is an Information Systems student with a solid track record in high school Mathematics and Physics, making him well suited to support primary and high school students in these subjects. He is comfortable breaking down complex ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations, especially for problem-solving and exam-style questions. This tutor understands what it takes to move from confusion to confidence and focuses on helping students build strong foundations rather than just memorising formulas.

Leadership Experience that Translates into Classroom Confidence

As a three-time elected student council president, he has extensive experience listening to students, presenting their needs, and working with school leadership to improve student life. He has helped design and run more than twenty student events, and led monthly fundraisers that required planning, budgeting and team coordination. This background means he is confident guiding groups, keeping students engaged, and adapting his communication style so that quieter learners feel comfortable asking questions.

Coaching Mindset and Real-World Engagement

Beyond academics, he has coached junior volleyball players, planning training drills to build skills step by step and encouraging teamwork—an approach he brings directly into tutoring sessions. His volunteering with children, including supporting young learners with additional needs and educating families about animals and the environment, shows patience and care in working with different personalities. Parents can expect a tutor who combines clear explanations with a friendly, coach-like style that motivates students to participate and improve.
