What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student go from feeling stuck or unsure to suddenly understanding a concept and gaining confidence. Maths can feel intimidating for a lot of students, so I really enjoy breaking problems down into simple steps and helping them realise that they’re capable of solving it themselves. Watching that moment where things “click†for a student is incredibly rewarding, and it’s great to see their confidence grow over time.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my biggest strengths as a tutor is my ability to explain concepts clearly and in a structured way. I like to break problems down step-by-step so students can see the logic behind the process rather than just memorising methods. I’m also very patient and adaptable, and I try to adjust my explanations depending on how each student learns best. My goal is always to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is build both understanding and confidence. It’s important to help students truly understand the concepts they’re learning, but it’s equally important that they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn. A good tutor should be able to identify where a student is struggling, explain ideas in a clear and approachable way, and encourage them to think through problems independently so they develop long-term problem-solving skills.
