What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

From all the years that I have tutored probably the recurring exhilarating feeling is seeing the "OHHH" face on my students when they finally understand a concept. There is truly nothing else like it.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my main strength as a tutor is my ability to explain a singular concept in accordance with different children in the way that they learn best. I strongly believe in the quote "There are never bad students only bad teachers", and I strive to be able to allow each of my students to go above and beyond despite learning slower or faster than their peers.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

To truly believe in the student and be readily avaliable to help at all times.

About Haasini

High-achieving maths and English tutor with proven results

Haasini is a high-performing university student studying Data Science and AI, with an ATAR above 98 and top study scores in Maths, Physics and English. She brings this strong academic background directly into her tutoring, especially for selective and scholarship entry pathways. Having worked with students from Year 3 to Year 10, including high-achieving and select-entry students, this tutor understands curriculum demands and exam expectations, and helps students turn tricky concepts into clear, step-by-step strategies they can actually use in class and tests.

Experienced classroom-style tutor and homework coach

Haasini has tutored in structured learning centres as both a class tutor and a homework helper. She has led Maths and General Ability classes for Years 3–5 and supported students up to Year 10 with ongoing homework, test preparation and skills consolidation. She regularly marks work, designs practice tasks, and provides detailed progress feedback to parents. Her experience with selective entry preparation, including classes with a strong acceptance rate, means she can target problem-solving, reasoning and exam technique, not just basic content.

Patient coach with strong communication and coaching background

Beyond academics, Haasini has worked as a swim coach, teaching learners from young children to adults, planning sessions and updating parents on progress and safety. This coaching background shows in her tutoring: she is patient, organised and calm under pressure, and knows how to motivate anxious or reluctant learners. She sets clear goals with students, celebrates small wins, and uses her own experience as a state-level swimmer and competition player to teach resilience, focus and consistent practice in both maths and English.
