What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I would love to tutor here as it means that I can share my knowledge with others as well as see someone improve as a result of continual effort.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I believe that I can put a lot of difficult concepts in a lens that is much easier to understand by breaking them down into simpler concepts. I also believe that I can communicate well with others and help them reach their goals.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

A tutor should be able to not only support them in an academic sense but also offer an emotional role also, as sometimes learning new concepts can be difficult and not intuitive and so I believe as a tutor I should be able to help them learn new concepts in a way that is easier for them to understand in an emotional point of view also.

About Andrew

Tech-Savvy Uni Student Who Makes Maths Feel Practical

Andrew is a second-year Advanced Computing student who loves making maths feel useful, not abstract. He understands how concepts like algebra, logic and problem-solving show up in real-world technology, and he brings that perspective into his tutoring. This tutor is patient, clear and methodical, used to explaining complex ideas step-by-step from helping peers at university. He aims to build not just marks, but confidence, so students feel they can tackle challenging questions on their own.

Highly Organised, Calm and Reliable Under Pressure

Through his experience in busy customer-facing roles, Andrew has developed excellent communication, time management and people skills that transfer directly into tutoring. He is used to breaking information down for all kinds of people, listening carefully to questions and staying calm when others feel stressed. This tutor brings that same steady approach to lessons, helping students prepare for tests, manage homework loads and develop simple routines so they don’t feel overwhelmed by schoolwork.

Relatable Role Model with Strong Discipline and Diverse Interests

Outside study, Andrew trains with weights daily, giving him strong discipline and a goal-focused mindset that he shares with his students. He has also taken part in university clubs, including helping run events and volunteering in kindness-focused groups, which shows he genuinely enjoys supporting others. This tutor uses these experiences to encourage students to set realistic goals, celebrate small wins and stay motivated, making sessions feel friendly, structured and tailored to each student’s personality.
