What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
When I was tutoring younger level friends in maths and accounting, it brings me a lot of joy to see when they begin to understand the concept. It's very rewarding to me, and it's also th journey of collaborating and talking to someone and both reaching an understanding of a concept to me is enjoyable.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think part of my strength is being meticulous and detail orientated. As such, when someone comes to me with a question, we really go into depth about it and navigate through the question with a lot of discussions. My ability to absorb that discussion to understand the person's strength and weaknesses is what I consider a core aspect to why I'm a good tutor.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think as a tutor, support is the most important thing we can do to students. This can be educational support, but also when a student is struggling emotionally or finding it challenging to navigate through work, I think as tutors we should also help the student in need. Obviously, we are not responsible for every burden the student have, but I think a good balance when building a portfolio of who the student is both as a student and a person is also extremely important.Subjects Tutored 🎓

Thanh is studying a combined degree in Commerce and Actuarial Science, giving her a solid grounding in high-level mathematics, statistics and analytical thinking. As a former house captain and global prefect, she regularly helped classmates with planning, organisation and keeping on top of assessments. Ruby's pattern recognition skills still needs improvement, and now that we introduce worded questions, she can get too confused and decide to guess/give up instead of asking for help. This is also more of an improvement on my end to, so that she's more comfortable asking for help.
Ruby was extremely engaged with class today. She was able to show stronger arithmetic skills, and have done all her homework with mostly 10/10.

Ruby needs to continue studying pattern recognition for numerals, as well as quicker multiplication and division. Homework has been assigned.

Ruby finished her homework today, and was very keen in playing the Kahoot. Her logic to answer more advance content is visible, so the Kahoot's from now onwards will be a guide to introduce her to advance topics, while homework will reinforce her content.
There was a lot of incentives to finish the homework, and Ruby's easily distracted, but not extreme. There are still Year 2 concepts that needs reinforcement but overall it's just a matter of more practice.

Ruby needs to be a little more honest of what is her current coursework and where she is at in school. She also is easily distracted, but not to the extreme and we can trackback to work easily.
