What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy tutoring as I find it a blessing to be able to pass down the knowledge i accumulated from my past years of education. I find it especially fulfilling when my student improves and are happy with their grade knowing the amount of hardwork and effort they put into that subject. I also like seeing my students succeed and gain a liking to a subject they initially struggled with.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am a very patient and friendly person, letting me to connect with my students better, allowing for a more conducive learning environment. I have been teaching my younger sister (who is 16 now) since she has been in primary school so I am well-versed and competent to teach younger children. I have also had professional tutoring experience teaching children that range from age 8 to 12. With my experience of teaching a child with ADHD before, I am knowledgeable in that aspect and know how to handle any similar situation. I also have a proven track record of my students improving.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing I can do for my student is to use a personalised approach to teach them in order to suit their individual needs. With my targeted teaching approach that emphasises on clarity, personalised learning strategies and consistent support, I know I will be able to teach my students accordingly, allowing them to make drastic improvements.
I know this is a proven strategy as one of my 11 year old student went from failing to scoring 70% and above for all the subjects I tutored him in. Hence, as long as the student works with me, I know we will be able to succeed!

About Inez
Emerging Tutor with Real Classroom Coaching Experience
Inez is a warm, energetic tutor who brings hands-on coaching experience from working with children in both academic and sports settings. As a teaching assistant in Taekwondo classes, she led warm-ups, ran one-on-one sessions with younger children, and communicated closely with parents about schedules and progress. This background means she understands how to keep students engaged, manage behaviour positively, and explain skills step-by-step in a way that feels achievable and encouraging.
Personalised Maths and English Support for Primary and Lower Secondary
This tutor currently works one-on-one with a primary student in Maths online, designing tailored lessons to close specific learning gaps and build problem-solving skills. She also has experience supporting students in English, Mathematics and Science, always adjusting explanations to suit each child’s pace and confidence level. Inez focuses on making tricky ideas feel simple and relatable, using clear examples and checking understanding regularly so that students feel secure rather than overwhelmed.
Building Confidence, Independence and Strong Study Habits
Inez’s approach is all about helping students grow into confident, independent learners. She plans sessions that gradually shift responsibility to the student, guiding them to explain their own thinking and try new questions on their own. Her time mentoring younger children in Taekwondo has strengthened her patience and calmness under pressure, which carries into her tutoring style. Parents can expect consistent communication about progress and a tutor who genuinely listens, adapts, and celebrates each small improvement.
