What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students' results genuinely improve as a result of my teaching and techniques. I love helping students understand a question thoroughly and showing them how to work through it in a way that's clear and makes sense to them, without ever making them feel silly for not getting it straight away. Most of all, I enjoy watching students grow in confidence and start to actually enjoy studying, realising it isn't as hard as they once thought. As someone currently studying Engineering at university, I've kept my HSC knowledge sharp and stay driven in everything I do, a mindset I bring into every tutoring session to help my students stay motivated and focused on their own goals.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm fully invested in each student's progress and take the time to understand exactly where they're at. I'm familiar with the HSC NSW curriculum and marking criteria, which helps me identify knowledge gaps early and target them effectively. I explain concepts clearly and thoughtfully, adapting my approach until things actually make sense. I achieved a 95 ATAR, including a Band 6 in Advanced Maths and two band 6's in other subjects, so I bring both strong subject knowledge and firsthand experience of what it takes to succeed in the HSC. I'm also just as comfortable teaching younger students, adjusting my explanations and pace to suit their level while keeping lessons engaging and easy to follow.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things I can do for a student are to make them feel welcome to make mistakes and learn from them, creating a comfortable space where messing up is simply part of the learning process. I also believe it's important to help students reach their full potential by explaining solutions and concepts in a way that's easy to understand.
