What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
This is something I discovered from Mr. Woo, a teacher that works at my former Highschool (CTHS): The expression someone has when someone finally understands something, the click you can almost see in their head, like a lightbulb suddenly turning on. I think that's the most satisfying feeling a teacher can have.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I can teach students a mindset that tackles hard and unexpected problems. I won't deny it would take consistent work on a wide range of problems, but if I can teach my students to dissect and work at any type of problem in their subject it would definitely benefit their quality of life in general.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
- Give them confidence that they can achieve their goals in a subject. This should eventually eliminate almost all negative thoughts and distractions so they can perform with the best ability in a test situation.
- Provide them with a level of conceptual understanding that they can rely on if their high school does on suffice.
- Give them the extra materials, notes or past papers, that will give them an edge over their competitors.
