Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. It's hard in the beginning, you don't know what to look out for and even though you recognise things here and there that doesn't mean you can read a formula, let alone understand it. It's one of those subjects where it clicks or it just doesn't. Tutors we work with understand that. They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping...
They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping others do the same. They know the pitfalls, where to spend that extra hour and what you need to memorise before you can completely understand a concept.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Morgan has been using the technique of talking aloud a lot for the past couple of weeks which is a great habit to get into. He is able to understand his process, make sure everything is correct and he is not missing anything. He has been asking lots of questions and is very much engaged in the topics we cover which is great to see. By back-checking his work, he has been able to consolidate his knowledge and learn how to apply different techniques/topics to various questions!
Mason shows his disinterest in the work through his tendency to stray away from the topic and talk about something else, but that is due to his young age so cant be helped too much. However when he gets into a question Mason starts to pickup the slack and work quite well.
Mark demonstrates basic understanding of the concepts covered in the “school worksheets†to be assessed. Some questions in the school worksheet were skipped and reminded Mark to work on them. Mark also needs to do more practise questions from his textbook to help his confidence in the yearly assessment.
I would like to say that Sultan was a fantastic tutor for Daniel and I feel sad to have to end the tutoring with him. In the short time that he was tutoring Daniel, Daniel learnt a lot in maths. Could you please let Sultan know and please let him know how happy I was with him as a tutor for Daniel.
Vibhuti has been good so far, very nice and punctual. My daughter seems to get along with her well and I imagine they will get more productive as the time passes.
So far, so good with Jie tutoring Charlie. Jie is professional, organised, and has warm and friendly nature.
