What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is simply giving people a helping hand. Helping them to understand concepts they may be struggling with at school will ultimately relive them of stress, and maybe even allow them to live more happily. High school can get quite hard sometimes (not only academically), and I want to do my part to make it a little easier for people.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I think my strengths as a tutor would be, firstly the fact that I am quite a friendly and understanding person. This will allow me to connect more easily with students and make my teaching more effective, as you learn better if you like the person who is teaching you. And secondly, my ability to understand and adapt teaching methods to each student, as everyone has different ways of learning.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Tutors are essential for students who might have trouble learning at school, as school only showcases one method of teaching, which doesnβt work for everyone. Whereas tutors not only bring in an extra method of learning, they can also tailor their teaching to individual students, unlike in schools, where teachers have to teach classes, and canβt focus on each student. Moreover, in helping out students in classes they have difficulty in, tutors also help relieve some stress from said students, which is very important nowadays.

The student needs more practice with using all the different formula. This lack of practice is the root cause of them not really knowing which equations to use when.

The student managed to do a more complex problem without any assistance and is beginning to understand how to breakdown problems. Introducing them to unit conversion tables seems to have been very helpful.
Still has a tendency to jump headfirst into problems without knowing what they are looking for and/or without going step by step. Needs to take more time to understand the reason behind the calculations they are doing.

We need to improve the student's understanding of the mathematical concepts, rather than just depending on the formulae without really understanding what it is they are doing exactly. Not truly understanding sometimes prevents the student from completing a question (although they do know the formulae). Working on slowing down and solving problems step by step also required.
