What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students with building their confidence in their abilities. I find it very rewarding to see a student move from feeling uncomfortable about certain topics to understanding and feeling proud of the progress that has been made as a result of high effort. I also enjoy adapting explanations to suit individual students’ learning style to make concepts more clear for them to grasp.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths as a tutor include organisation, patience, clear communication and the ability to adapt my teaching approach to suit different students. I would try to focus on creating a supportive environment where the students feel comfortable asking questions and can feel okay with making mistakes as part of their learning process. Organisation and reliability also would help me plan lessons effectively to ensure students can stay on track with their goals.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
In my opinion, I believe that the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to build their confidence, encourage independent thinking and to provide clear guidance. A tutor should help students understand concepts rather than encourage memorising, so that they can apply their knowledge. I think that creating a supportive environment where students feel motivated and comfortable asking questions is important.

About Sara
Strong Academic Foundation in Maths and English
Sara has recently completed her final years of school with a strong focus on Mathematical Methods, English, Psychology and Chemistry, consistently earning academic certificates for determination and high achievement. She has held a long-term academic scholarship, demonstrating more than 90% results across her subjects over many years. This tutor understands exam-style questions, extended responses and problem-solving in Maths and English, and can clearly explain concepts in manageable steps for both primary and high school students.
Confident Communicator and Study Skills Mentor
Through years on her school debating team, Sara has frequently been recognised as ‘best speaker’, showing she can express ideas clearly and think on her feet. As a student representative, she regularly gathered feedback from classmates and presented it in meetings, building strong listening and communication skills. This tutor uses these abilities to help students organise their writing, build persuasive and analytical responses, and develop confident speaking skills for class presentations and oral assessments.
Motivating Role Model with Diverse Interests
Sara balances high-level study with sport, music and leadership, giving her a realistic understanding of how busy students feel. She has competed in tennis across multiple seasons, led house activities and fundraisers, and completed advanced piano and singing exams. This tutor uses these experiences to teach practical time-management strategies, encourage resilience, and connect learning to students’ interests. She brings a calm, approachable presence to sessions, helping students stay focused while still enjoying their progress in Maths and English.
