What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is witnessing the specific instant when a student suddenly clicks at a complex concept. I enjoy breaking down complex topic into digestible knowledge and seeing a student gain confidence to tackle problems that they found intimidating.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I am extremely patient and can quickly adapt to different type of students. Studying the Biomedicine degree has taught me that everyone processes and learn information differently, therefore my ability to identify different learning styles and logic can be of great help. Additionally, being a current university student myself, I can relate and share effective study techniques to help the students succeed.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to create a safe space and judgement free zone, so the students can feel comfortable and safe. Through this, the student can solely focus on the study, not other outside variables, therefore maximising learning efficiency. Tutoring for me is about supporting student through the hard parts while giving them the tools and confident to work independently and build their own understanding.

About San Key
Strong Maths Foundation with High-Level Study Skills
San is a biomedicine student with a strong track record in secondary mathematics, including algebra, calculus and probability, and consistently high results across his university subjects. He knows what it takes to move from โgetting byโ to really understanding the material, and brings those study habits into his tutoring. This tutor focuses on breaking down complex ideas into simple, step-by-step explanations, helping students build both accuracy and confidence in their maths work.
Coaching Mindset and One-on-One Mentoring
With formal training in sports coaching, San is experienced in planning sessions, setting clear goals and adapting activities to suit different learning styles. He has spent time working one-on-one and in small groups, using encouragement and clear instructions to keep students engaged. This tutor treats each session like a well-structured practice: warm-up, focused skill-building, then review, so students leave knowing exactly what theyโve improved and what comes next.
Engaging with Younger Learners and Parents
Through his volunteer work with primary-aged children, San has practised explaining ideas in fun, age-appropriate ways and building quick rapport with both students and parents. He is comfortable talking with families about progress and next steps, and adjusts his approach based on feedback. Whether helping a younger child feel less anxious about maths or supporting a high school student through assessments, this tutor brings patience, clear communication and a calm, encouraging presence.
