What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The most I enjoy about tutoring is the ability to use my own knowledge to teach students skills and methods when approaching certain questions. I am able to demonstrate high levels of understanding and communication to help them feel confident when feeling lost or stuck.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am reliable and understanding when students feel stuck on certain questions, and are able to provide help when answering the questions. I am also very organised, punctual, hard-working and reliable when it comes to work as I like to complete things on time (mostly as soon as I get the task). Even though sometimes I may make mistakes, I will always reflect on it to provide a better experience on students and to provide the company a good reputation to the society.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide comfort and a safe learning environment. This is crucial as students need to feel safe with their tutor in order for them to be able to ask questions and communicate with their tutor. In this way, they are able to learn faster and build a better foundation by maximising their potential and skills. With this said, I am able to understand and reply to their questions whenever it is needed and I'm willing to spend outside of class time to go over any work that is needed, especially before exams.

About Edwina
Supportive Tutor with Real Classroom Experience
Edwina is an enthusiastic undergraduate who has already spent time working inside a primary school classroom as a teacherβs assistant. She has helped explain concepts to students, supported them with classwork and questions, and assisted teachers with lesson materials and schedules. This hands-on experience means she understands how school content is actually taught and assessed, and how to keep younger learners on track. Parents can expect a tutor who is organised, patient and comfortable working with different learning needs.
Strong Maths and English Foundations
With solid academic strengths in Maths, English and Chinese, as well as success in a Maths Olympiad, this tutor brings strong subject knowledge to every session. Edwina is used to breaking down tricky ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations, a skill she practised when helping classmates and younger students at school. She focuses on building confidence through guided practice, checking understanding regularly and linking new content to what students already know, so progress feels achievable rather than overwhelming.
Engaging, Bilingual Communicator Who Connects with Students
Edwina speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin, which helps her connect with students from diverse backgrounds and support families who value bilingual communication. Her experience in team sports such as softball and athletics has developed her resilience, encouragement style and ability to motivate students through challenges. She is punctual, well-prepared and quick to adapt explanations if a student is stuck. Lessons with this tutor are friendly but focused, aiming to create a comfortable space where students feel confident to ask questions and try again.
