What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I've always enjoyed tutoring students, having gained experience from tutoring Year 9-10 Chemistry and Year 11 IB SL Maths. I not only have a genuine passion for helping others understand difficult concepts, but I also know firsthand what it takes to master them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Academically, I finished my IB with a score of 41, achieving a 7 in HL Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, which is equivalent to a 97.8 ATAR. I also sat the HSC, earning Band 6/E4 in Maths Extension 2, Physics, and Chemistry. Beyond tutoring, I interned at RevisionDojo as a Content Intern, where I made sure the study notes on the platform were kept up to date with the latest curriculum changes. I also got to test their AI-powered IA marker, which gave me a real insight into how educational tools can be improved to better serve students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
When it comes to tutoring, my approach is fairly straightforward. I want every student to genuinely understand the material rather than just memorise it long enough to get through a test. I keep lessons interactive, constantly checking in before moving on to more advanced topics so no one gets left behind or feels too awkward to speak up. A lot of students switch off because they feel like they've already missed something and are too embarrassed to admit it, and I want to make sure that never happens in my sessions.
