I like seeing things finally click for someone. When a student goes from being confused or unsure to actually understanding and feeling confident, that’s really satisfying. I also enjoy being able to explain things in a simpler, more relatable way than they might get in class.

I’m patient and good at explaining things in different ways until they make sense. I try to break down harder concepts into smaller steps so they’re easier to understand. I’m also approachable, so students feel comfortable asking questions instead of stressing about getting things wrong.

I think the most important thing is helping build their confidence, not just their knowledge. A tutor should make sure the student actually understands the content, not just memorises it, and create a space where they feel comfortable asking questions. It’s also important to adapt to how each student learns, because not everyone understands things the same way.
