What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
During highschool I found it really enjoying and rewarding to help my peers when they struggle on topics I had a better understanding of. I enjoy helping students go from feeling stuck to actually understanding a concept. Its rewarding to see their confidence grow and for them to realise they're capable of doing the work on their own.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Im patient and good at breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I also adapt my explanations depending on the student, because I know everyone learns differently. For example instead of teaching the student a fixed way of approaching a question, I would try and make real life comparisons to make it intuitive, and I would try and figure out what exact area of knowledge he is lacking that is causing him to get stuck.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I like to explain concepts in a clear and simple way, while adapting to how each student learns best. Instead of just showing students the answer, I try to guide them through the thinking process and slowly build up their confidence.

She found it challenging to determine the distance between two coordinates when one location was north and the other was south of the equator. In these situations, the distances need to be added together rather than subtracted. Continued practice with coordinate-based distance questions will help strengthen this understanding. She also need a bit more work to help her fully understand linear algebra.

Lizzie should continue working on identifying which formula is required for different question types and memorising key formulas. She should also focus on checking her work carefully to minimise simple calculation and transcription errors. She should try and write out her thought process more when attempting harder questions, and just have a more complete working out in general so that it would be easy for her to double check her answers.

Quickly understood and applied the index law concepts taught during the lesson. Demonstrated strong ability to use area and volume formulas correctly when the appropriate formula was identified. Worked efficiently through practice exam questions and showed good problem solving skills.
Further practice is needed with fraction operations, particularly addition and simplification. Continue developing confidence with index multiplication rules and becoming more familiar with common area and volume formulas so they can be selected independently when solving problems.
