What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing students gain confidence in their abilities. It's really rewarding to watch someone go from feeling stuck or unsure to understanding a concept and being able to solve problems independently. I like building a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes and most importantly, trusting that they'll learn from making those mistakes.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my main strengths are patience, clear communication and adaptability. As a high school graduate myself, I completely understand how the right teacher can unlock potential within their students that breaks expectations by adapting to the student's way of learning instead of forcing a single 'correct' way of learning. I'm also good at breaking down complex ideas into step by step ideas which make it easier to understand and build a strong foundation rather than memorising solutions.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
As a tutor, I believe that adapting my teaching style to fit the student is the most important thing as it allows the student to learn and understand the content deeper. I also think it's really important to help students to become individual learners. This is achieved through building a positive environment where the student is comfortable enough to approach the tutor for any questions or doubts. Additionally, the tutor must also identify gaps in knowledge and understand when and how to give extra resources in order to deepen the student's understanding of the content.
