What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I most enjoy seeing others graping the concepts behind what I'm teaching. I love when, as opposed to just following the formulas and getting the right answer, they understand what the question is asking of them, and why they understand why the formula can help them arrive at that answer.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As I'm very communicative and easygoing, I constantly check up on the student to make sure they are following my explanation, as I've tutored many friends and family it's very easy for me to notice when the other person is confused, and when that happens I communicate with them, slow down my explanation (or pivot the method with which I explain the concept). Moreover, through my (informal) experience I am able to communicate concepts in many different ways, which is important as everyone's brain works differently, and some explanations just dont click for some people.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is boost a students belief in their own intelligence, and making them understand that no concept is beyond their understanding. Many of my friends express this exact feeling after I tutor them, as instead of just teaching them formula's, I focus on teaching the concepts and theory behind those formula's, and help them work through examples as opposed to leaving them trying to figure them out on their own.
