About Grace
Strong Academic Foundation in Maths and Science
Grace is a Bachelor of Science and Advanced Studies student majoring in mathematics and chemistry, giving her a solid grasp of the core concepts students meet in primary and high school. Having completed school as dux with an ATAR above 98, she understands how to break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. This tutor uses her current university studies to connect classroom topics to real-world examples, helping students see both the “why” and the “how” behind maths and science.
Hands-On Teaching Experience with Diverse Learners
Grace has volunteered teaching Year 5 and 6 students in maths and science, planning lessons and explaining new ideas to classes with varied abilities and backgrounds. She also helped with school administration while there, giving her insight into how schools operate and what teachers expect from students. These experiences taught her to adjust explanations on the spot, use simple analogies, and keep students engaged even when a topic feels challenging or unfamiliar.
Energetic, Organised and Relatable Tutor
Outside the classroom, Grace is a committed sport lover and surf lifesaving participant, which shapes her tutoring style: energetic, team-focused and disciplined. She is used to busy, fast-paced environments where clear communication and reliability matter, and she brings that same organisation to her sessions through structured lesson plans and goal setting. This tutor enjoys using real-life scenarios from sport and everyday life to make abstract maths problems feel practical and interesting for young learners.
