What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love the challenge of figuring out how each individual learns best and tailoring my teaching and explanations to suit them.
Seeing a student's eyes light up when they finally understand something they've been really struggling with and the boost in confidence that comes with it is the most rewarding thing.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very friendly and approachable and great at building a strong rapport with my students, so they always feel comfortable asking questions and really trying, even if it involves making mistakes along the way. I am passionate about psychology and am myself a creative thinker, which means I love finding different ways to teach things so that learning stays fun and different learning styles are met. Additionally, I am very responsible, clear, and confident in leading and communicating expectations, and am also great at thinking on my feet and adapting to different situations.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing as a tutor is to support the student as a whole, not just focusing in on grades, but more broadly on what that child needs to be able to learn and grow to their best potential. For instance, helping students increase their self-confidence is extremely valuable. I also think inspiring students to want to learn, and cultivating core learning habits to prepare them for future independent learning, is extremely important.
