What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love seeing students go from feeling confused to truly understanding something. It’s a great feeling when someone finally “gets” a concept they were struggling with and starts believing in themselves. I also enjoy tailoring my explanations to suit each student’s unique way of learning because everyone learns differently, and finding the right approach makes the whole experience really worthwhile.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I’m good at explaining things clearly, being patient, and I have a solid understanding of my subject, backed by my PhD in Thermal Engineering. I’ve taught a variety of subjects, including maths, physics, English, and engineering, to students ranging from school to university level, and I’ve been tutoring since high school. I like to break down complicated ideas into simple, easy-to-follow steps so students truly understand them rather than just memorising. I’m also supportive and try to connect what we’re learning to real-life situations, making lessons more practical and engaging.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things are helping students truly understand the material, build their confidence, and learn to think independently. A great tutor doesn’t just give answers but helps students work through problems on their own. It’s also important to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them without feeling judged.
