What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
- I relate to students who feel stuck or behind, so I like creating a supportive space
- I’m interested in how people learn, not just the content itself
- I enjoy adapting my teaching to suit each student’s learning style
- I value building genuine connections with students
- Seeing their confidence grow is just as rewarding as their academic improvement
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I would make a great tutor and mentor because I bring both strong academic support and genuine empathy.
I moved to Australia in Year 7 and had to navigate a completely new syllabus, school system, and environment on my own. That experience taught me what it feels like to struggle, feel behind, and even disconnected both academically and socially. Because of this, I’m able to genuinely connect with students from diverse backgrounds and support them in a way that goes beyond just explaining content.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
- Build a strong, trusting connection so the student feels comfortable asking questions
- Explain concepts clearly and in a way that suits the student’s learning style
- Focus on *understanding*, not just memorisation
- Identify gaps and “blind spots†the student may not realise they have
- Teach effective study strategies, not just content
- Build the students confidence and independence over time
- Keep them engaged and motivated, making learning a positive experience
