I enjoy the engagement and the accomplishment when the student reaches clarity the most. In class, students are often shy to ask questions, but during tutoring, they feel safe enough to open up. I think the most important thing is creating a safe and positive learning environment for students, building a strong foundation of trust and understanding. A tutor shouldn’t just teach content—they should help students develop effective learning habits and grow in confidence. When a student feels understood and supported, they are more likely to trust you and enjoy the process. They naturally try harder, ask more questions, and make real progress.
