What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students understand something they previously found difficult. Thereโs a great feeling when a student goes from being confused about a topic to solving problems on their own. I previously worked as a Year 7 Maths and Science teacher, and I really enjoyed finding different ways to explain concepts so that every student could understand them. Seeing students become more confident and engaged in class was always the most rewarding part of the job.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I think my biggest strengths are patience, communication, and adaptability. From my experience teaching Year 7 Maths and Science, I learned that every student learns differently, so I try to adjust my explanations to suit their needs. Iโm approachable and encourage students to ask questions without feeling embarrassed. I also focus on making sure students actually understand the concept instead of just memorising answers.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is help students build confidence in their learning. Many students already have the ability to succeed but just need someone to guide them and explain things in a way that makes sense. A good tutor should be supportive, patient, and willing to adapt to the studentโs learning style. Itโs also important to encourage students to think for themselves so they can become independent learners rather than relying on someone else for every answer.
