What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy the most about tutoring is seeing the actual progress that my students achieve after all the time and effort put towards their goals. Having tutored primary school students at Pre Uni from 2022-2026, I have been able to witness first hand the substantial impacts that tutoring can have on young students, both academically and personally. Not only do they benefit in their studies but also in real life skills such as confidence, independence and communication. I found it very rewarding and fulfilling to see my students be able to overcome challenges and achieve their personal goals.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my strength as a tutor is my experience, as this allowed me to understand that each student learns differently. This ultimately aids in my teaching methods and techniques as I am aware that what works for some students may not be suitable for others. My previous experiences have helped me develop my patience and communication skills to ensure understanding from all students. Furthermore, I prioritise making students feel supported and seen to ensure that they are in an environment that they are comfortable to engage with others and ask questions.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

What I consider to be the most important thing a tutor can do is to genuinely care for their students. This means that they take the time and effort to understand the student's capabilities and circumstances to help them in the best way possible. This can be through creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students are able to grow both academically and personally. Furthermore, by creating this environment, students are more motivated and have genuine care for their studies, allowing them to be more focused and achieve their goals.
