Alizah was making a lot of progress in subtraction, she initially struggled with multi-digit subtraction involving regrouping (borrowing) but after practice and guidance she quickly picked it up and can do this confidently. In English, she made a huge improvement in her reading abilities and pronunciation.

Alizah still needs a bit of practice in worded questions, specifically word problems that involve both subtraction and addition. It would also be helpful to go through reading exercises since Alizah often jumbles sentences and adds in extra words when she is reading.

Jordyn has a much stronger understanding when subtracting unlike fractions. She now understands that making the fractions in an equation all have the same denominator is the first step when adding, subtracting and comparing fractions.

We spent the majority of this lesson going through this as she was struggling, I gave her the remaining last 2 questions as homework. I've contacted the parents about seeing Jordyn twice a week.

Jordyn has improved on identifying variables and coefficients and what it means to find the product form and exponential form of an equation.

Jordyn needs more practice in converting mixed, improper and proper fractions, I've given her homework on this and we will go through it in our next lesson.

Delisha initially didn't understand that we need to carry for both the tens and the ones, but quickly picked up how to do it and was able to demonstrate this in different examples accurately.

Delisha often writes quite quickly and her messy handwriting gets her confused quickly and causes unnecessary errors. It will take a few lessons to encourage her to slow down and show working out so that she can back track without getting lost.
