What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students overcome challenges and gain confidence in their abilities. I find it rewarding to see a student progress from being unsure about a topic to understanding it well and solving problems independently. I also enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simpler ideas and helping students achieve goals they may not have initially thought were possible.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my strengths are clear communication, patience, and strong academic knowledge. Having achieved strong results in both high school and my first term of Chemical Engineering at UNSW, I have developed effective study habits and problem-solving skills that I can share with students. I am also approachable and adaptable, allowing me to explain concepts in different ways depending on how a student learns best.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I feel that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is instilling a strong sense of confidence within themselves, and also create an environment where open discussion can take place and students feel comfortable asking questions. Lastly, teaching critical thinking skills is just as important as the students would be able to tackle and approach questions which may. be tricky or not the 'standard' questions.
