What I enjoy most about tutoring is, over the long term, being able to see my students improving. When I meet someone who is struggling at the start, it reflects in their confidence. The most important thing a tutor can do is actually listen to what a student is saying and their needs. Too many tutors just spout the same generic advice and give the same generic criticisms, or give the same generic homework.
