What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
While I have never been a tutor, I do work in a school and assist students through Maths Intervention programs. What I enjoy most about it is helping students build confidence and seeing them reach a point where something that once felt difficult suddenly makes sense. It's rewarding to adapt my teaching style to each student's needs, encourage their progress, and watch them become more independent and motivated in their learning. I also enjoy creating a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths are being patient, approachable, and able to explain concepts in different ways depending on how each student learns. I communicate clearly, listen carefully to students' questions, and create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking for help. I'm also well-organised, reliable, and focused on helping students build both their understanding and confidence over time.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe one of the most important things a tutor can do is build a student's confidence and make learning engaging. From my experience, the students who need the most help in maths are often the ones who dislike it because they lack confidence in their abilities. By creating a supportive environment, explaining concepts clearly, and celebrating small successes, a tutor can help students become more confident, engaged, and motivated to learn.
