What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students build confidence in their own abilities. I find it rewarding to explain concepts in different ways until something finally clicks for a student. I also enjoy building positive relationships and creating an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Seeing someone's confidence and understanding grow over time is what motivates me and I would love the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a student's academic journey.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my biggest strengths are my communication, patience and organisation. Through my leadership roles at the University of Melbourne, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, listened to their needs and communicated information clearly. I am patient when explaining ideas and understand that everyone learns at a different pace. I am also reliable and well organised, which allows me to prepare thoroughly, structure lessons effectively and provide consistent support so students can continue improving.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important role of a tutor is to help students become confident and independent learners, rather than simply teaching them how to answer questions. A good tutor should tailor lessons to each student's learning style, encourage them to ask questions and provide constructive feedback that helps them improve. Building trust, celebrating progress and maintaining open communication with parents are also essential to ensuring students stay motivated and achieve their goals.
