She is good at her mental arithmetic and understands the notion that if something for example is 2cm larger than something else, than obviously the thing that is 2cm larger is going to be a bigger number. Her 4s are also quite good to up to 4x5.

Sometimes she has some troubles with worded problems- I think partially she doesn't take the time to read the question carefully, or she just impulsively answers to move on. Reviewing these types of questions would be quite valuable. Also, she struggles a bit with her 4s after 4x5- this should come with practice, and its just a matter of finding strategies to quickly solve them in her head. She generally just counts up in 4s for her 4s, which is easy until 4x5 but starts getting harder afterwards.

Quickly understood and was able to solve problems involving finding unknown angles in polygons. She also has quite a good grip on pythagoras' theorem now, and she is able to comfortably re-arrange the formula to solve for the smaller sides.

Practicing problem solving questions is important. At first, she found it difficult to apply the knowledge from the simple questions to the problem solving questions- even though the process is the same. Practicing these will make her more familiar with the more complex questions and she should find that most of the questions are effectively asking the same thing, but just providing different information or a different context.

She is very good at interpreting different types of data that is organized in different ways.

A good thing to review would be decimals/percentages/fractions and converting between them. A lot of the questions require quick conversions and not knowing how to convert may result in answering the question wrong or taking excessive time to answer it. This is a good fundamental thing to review, especially when the topic is quite easy like it is at the moment.

He's very good at defining the spelling sheet words and incorporating them into a sentence. His rounding is also very good, as much as he says he is bad at rounding.

His spelling does need some work- I feel like sometimes he is just uninterested and can't be bothered to attempt to spell the word correctly. Also, with long divisions he fundamentally understands the process but is consistently held back by the fact he doesn't know his times tables. He hence ends up either being incorrect or it takes him an excessive amount of time.
