What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students grow in confidence. It's rewarding when a student goes from saying, "I don't understand this," to solving problems on their own. I also enjoy getting to know each student's learning style and finding different ways to explain concepts that make sense to them. For me, tutoring isn't just about improving grades, it's about helping students become more confident and enjoy learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my biggest strengths as a tutor are being patient, adaptable, and approachable. Every student learns differently, so I like adjusting the way I explain concepts until they make sense to that individual. I also try to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions without worrying about making mistakes. I believe that building a positive relationship with students is just as important as teaching the content.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is help students become independent learners. That means not just giving them the answers, but helping them understand how to solve problems on their own. A tutor should also create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to keep learning.

About Jun Hau
Passionate Monash Engineering Student Helping Students Build Confidence in Maths
Hi, I'm Jun Hau, a Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering student at Monash University. I enjoy helping students understand mathematics by breaking difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-follow steps. I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, patience, and consistent practice. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also to build their confidence and problem-solving skills.
Supportive, Patient and Results-Focused
I have experience tutoring primary and secondary school students and always tailor my lessons to suit each student's learning style and pace. Whether your child needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or aiming for top marks, I create a positive and encouraging learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions. I focus on developing a strong understanding of concepts rather than memorising formulas, helping students become more independent learners.
Subjects I Teach
I tutor Mathematics from primary school through to Year 12. Lessons can be tailored to homework support, exam preparation, revision, or strengthening core mathematical skills. I strive to make each lesson engaging, organised, and productive so students leave feeling more confident than when they arrived.
