What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring can change someone as it does not only teach knowledge but also it shares experiences in studying and life. I find it rewarding when a student finally understands a concept they have been struggling with or achieves a goal they have been working towards. I also enjoy the relationship that I've built with my students and their families as these connections make the learning experience more enjoyable and meaningful.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am currently enrolled in second year physiotherapy degree at Adelaide University, so I have good foundation in biology, chemistry and overall science. Previously studied at the Adelaide University college, I am also familiar with South Australian secondary school curriculum, particularly in chemistry and biology. Having previous tutoring experience, I understand the importance of adapting my teaching style to suit each student's learning needs. In addition, I am fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, allowing me to communicate effectively with bilingual students and families.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the role of a tutor is not only to teach academic subjects but also to guide and encourage students throughout their learning journey. I believe it is important to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in their abilities. A good tutor should also serve as a positive role model by demonstrating responsibility, patience, and a strong work ethic, helping students develop both academically and personally.
