What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I identify strongly with the philosophy of the position, as well as the content itself. As someone who had their own struggles with socializing and mental health in high school, helping students in trouble to succeed is near and dear to my heart. My experience ranges from music to mathematics, but this element of the job is consistently my favourite.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I have no trouble finding various approaches to most effectively communicate information to a student, and no issue with doing work outside of official hours in order to find more. I empathize strongly with the students I teach and become invested in their success, so high effort sessions are no problem. I am dedicated to fining the best possible approach for each individual or group.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Beyond grades, I consider a real tutoring success to be one that positively impacts a studentsβ relationship with studying overall. This is a goal that will benefit them for their whole education, not just the particular subject I am tutoring them in. To achieve such an effect, it is important to develop a bond with the student and attend their needs, while simultaneously never neglecting challenging and difficult content. By the end of their time with me, I hope to teach them to enjoy those challenges.
