What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students grow in both their understanding and confidence. It's rewarding to watch someone who initially finds a concept challenging gradually develop their skills until they can solve problems independently. This process of passing on understanding and being part of that learning journey and helping students achieve moments of understanding is what makes tutoring so fulfilling for me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strenghts as a tutor is that I strongly relate to the students that I am tutoring. As I have recently graduated from High school and recently completed the HSC, I understand not only the stresses and pressure that students are under but also the tricks that are hidden in exam questions meant to trip students up. I also think as a current Bachelor's student in science and engineering majoring in physics and electrical engineering, I can transfer my passion for these subjects to the students that I would teach, presenting content in an engaging relatable way.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think that the most important thing a tutro can do for a student is to boost their confidence and understanding in the target subject. Instead of repititive rote learning I think the most important thing a tutor can provide is to build subject specific critical-thinking skills that give the student the confidence and understanding to tackle the hard unseen questions that pop up in exam situations. I think these foundations are what results in success for the student which is ultimately our aim as a tutor.
