What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is that it's not only a learning platform for the student, but also for me. It teaches me patience, understanding, and most importantly, empathy. I love seeing the satisfaction and smile on someone's face when they finally understand a complex topic and can confidently solve problems on their own. It also feels like a second chance, an opportunity to help someone the way I wish I had been taught. Overall, I love how rewarding the work is.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My biggest strength as a tutor is my ability to break down difficult problems in a creative and easy manner. Not everyone likes to do things in the same manner, which is why it is important to be able to explain the same thing in more than one way. Additionally, I believe analogies are a great method of explaining anything, which is why I use them quite fondly. Patience and ability to listen, and adjust, are also some of the skills I try to embody every time I help a student.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Growing up I always hated Maths, until I got a tutor in Grade 10. He broke down things in such a simple manner that I not only understood it perfectly but also enjoyed solving problems in my own time. This is why I believe that one of the most important things a tutor can do is help one understand their real strengths and weaknesses and adapt their teaching style accordingly. A tutor should never demotivate a student based on their mistakes and have faith in them. Lastly, a tutor can help a student feel more confident with every passing day.
