What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing the moment when something that seemed confusing suddenly clicks for the student and they have the ah gotcha or eureka feeling. The most rewarding thing is seeing the student improve, build confidence and become more independent over time due to my help.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind concepts or problems first rather than memorising formulas. My PhD has taught me that it is much more important to develop a strong foundation based on understanding at a young age, and that is what I would try to spread in my students. I am also very patient and adapt my explanations to match each student's way of learning.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important role is to build understanding and confidence. A good tutor should create a comfortable environment where the student should feel free to ask questions, identify gaps in their knowledge, and gradually making students capable of solving problems on their own.

Education - PhD in Astrophysics

I have just recently completed my PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Western Australia. Prior to that I have completed my Masters in Physics from India.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently tutoring a Year 11 student in Mathematics. This has been going on for 6 months and the student and family are satisfied and comfortable with my teaching style and the progress. I am also a Casual tutor at the University of Western Australia for the past 2 years. Prior to this I have tutored students across Year 1 to 12 in India, mainly in Science subjects.
