What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy how rewarding it is when a student comes to answer without my help, I think its super amazing to see them figure something out or apply something I've taught them and watch them become more confident than when I first start teaching them.
Seeing the pride a student has when they show me a grade they got is one of the most amazing feelings ever, because its not only you being proud, but also them being proud of themselves!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think patience is my greatest strength, but more in the way that I can give a student space to let them figure out a question on their own but also nudge them in the right direction if I see they might need it.
Another strength I have is being able to simplify information and uses examples relating to a student, which makes learning a whole lot easier for them. Being able to relate to a student and give them examples that they can understand better is super effective.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is to just give the student space, let them figure it out and guide them to the answer gently. I don't think students enjoy being lectured and forced to listen, because learning is much easier when a student actually wants to. Encouragement and positive reinforcement at least from my experience has yielded much better results and has actually made learning fun for the student.
