What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy really making a difference to the students that I help. I know what it feels like to get bad marks in a subject, and I know what it feels like to dig yourself out of that hole and end your schooling with good marks, and being in your dream course in university. I find it fulfilling on my end to see a student smile when they finally understand a topic. Perhaps the students that I tutor will go on to be extremely influential in their field, and that makes me excited and happy for their future.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Having been to Sydney Grammar School, and receiving 93/100 on my HSC standard maths exam, while ranking first in my trial exam, I am uniquely positioned to offer the best service possible. But tutoring isn't just about marks. Having led a cadet platoon of over 20 kids at school, I quickly learnt the communication styles that young students respond to, and how to keep them on task when they get distracted. As a recent graduate, I understand the pressure that the HSC brings and so I bring a unique sense of relatability. When students are struggling or doing well, I know how best to assist them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think that tutoring goes beyond just helping a student academically. While that is the main reason parents get tutors for their children, oftentimes the tutors provide another layer beyond the teachers. They are someone who is around the age of the students they tutor and that is powerful. It allows them to uplift their students and empower them in a way their teacher couldn't in a large class. I think a tutor's role is to show the student what they are capable of, and allow them to develop the requisite problem solving and initiative to go into the workforce knowing how to solve problems.
