What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students reach the point where something that once felt confusing starts to feel clear and manageable. I genuinely enjoy the process of learning, so I find it rewarding to break ideas down, simplify them, and make them easier to approach. When I casually tutored students in India across different subjects, I realised that even small improvements in understanding can make a student feel much more confident. That moment when a student begins to trust their own ability is what I enjoy most.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor are patience, adaptability, and clear communication. I have a strong command over Maths and English, and because I studied both humanities and sciences throughout high school and now study Economics and Mathematics, I can adapt quickly across different subjects. I am able to understand where a student is struggling and adjust my explanation style accordingly, whether they need a step-by-step approach, examples, or help building confidence. I also try to make lessons feel comfortable and encouraging, so students feel open to asking questions.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is help a student feel capable and supported while also becoming more independent. A tutor should not only explain the content clearly, but also identify the exact point where the student is stuck and guide them from there. It is also important to create an environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, because that is often where real learning happens. To me, good tutoring means helping students understand the subject, improve their confidence, and develop the tools to approach problems on their own.
