What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the process of assisting students in understanding concepts that once seemed confusing and frustrating, and attempting to explain a problem that suits the individual student. I am keen to break down complex questions into detailed and manageable steps that further enhance students' confidence in their own problem-solving abilities. Seeing students become more confident and independent is the most fulfilling part of tutoring for me.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my biggest strengths is my ability to communicate with students from diverse backgrounds. As a native Mandarin speaker who completed high school in Australia and is also studying French, I am comfortable working in multilingual and multicultural environments. I believe this helps me connect with students and explain ideas in different ways depending on their learning styles. I am also a very patient and organised person who enjoys taking the time to understand each student's needs and to create a structured learning plan that aligns with their goals and demands.

I reckon that the most important things a tutor can do are to understand each student's requirements, provide a supportive environment, and adapt the teaching methodology accordingly. Every student learns differently, so I think it is essential to create a personalised approach rather than using the same method for everyone, A tutor should also help students develop their thinking process instead of simply giving them answers. By guiding them through problems step by step and encouraging them to think independently, tutors can build both their understanding and confidence.
