What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring helps me deepen my knowledge and improve my communication skill. When I got to tutor some of my students, I was asked many interesting questions that I had not thought about before. To answer these questions correctly, I had to do more and more research, try to understand and find the easiest way to explain to my students. Tutoring set me on a journey where I knew the destination but tried to find the shortest, most straightforward path to get to the destination. In other words, I get to do one problem with different methods and compare which one is sufficient to share with my student
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength as a tutor is imagination. I love linking things/phenomena familiar to me and my learning topic. This helps me a lot with understanding complex concepts. Similarly, with tutoring, I know that students might find it challenging to approach a new scientific topic with complicated concepts. I will then try to use my imagination to link the topic with familiar things/phenomena around the students to talk and explain it. I think this method will help students easily imagine and understand the complex concept of one topic more easily than textbook explanation.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing that a tutor can do for the students is helping them improve their academics and achieve the highest goal in their ability. For example, once students feel doubting about the topic they have studied at school, the tutor should explain where the students have not understood and make sure to move on once they understand entirely. More example of what a tutor can do for the students is providing study tips that might be helpful for the student.
