What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I really enjoy seeing the moment when a student goes from being confused to feeling confident. In maths and physics especially, it is extremely satisfying to see the concepts 'click'. I also enjoy showing students that with the right approach, any problem can be solved as long as you are confident in yourself and your own ability.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor are my patience and communication. I can break down difficult ideas into smaller steps, which helps students build their understanding from the ground up. I also make sure to explain concepts in different ways, such as using analogies, diagrams, or practice problems, which helps build a strong understanding of the topic. This is especially important in mathematics, where higher levels of math often build on previously introduced ideas.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to believe in the student’s ability and to build their confidence in themselves and their academic ability. To do this, a tutor should tailor their teaching approach to every student. Another important thing tutors can do for their students is to guide the student to develop problem-solving skills and a positive attitude towards learning. This approach will help them become independent learners, which is a crucial life-long skill.
