What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
As the eldest child, I have always been the person my younger siblings come to when they need help understanding something. I have really enjoyed explaining things in a way that makes sense to them and seeing that moment when they finally understand a concept. This is what I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to support someone's learning and help them become more confident in their abilities.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my main strengths as a tutor is that I am a student myself, so I understand how difficult it can be to learn something when it is explained in a complicated way. I adapt my explanations to suit each student and make concepts simple and relatable. I also aim to create a non-judgemental environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and being honest about what they don't understand. I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is understand how a student learns and adapt their teaching style to suit them. Rather than expecting every student to understand a concept in the same way, I think it is important to be patient and find different ways of explaining something until it makes sense to them. Ultimately, I want my students to not only understand the topic but also become more confident in their abilities. Hi! My name is Alicia, and I am currently studying a double degree in Civil Engineering and Commerce at Monash University. I chose this path because I love combining the logical, step-by-step problem-solving of engineering with the communication and people-focused side of business.
