What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
What I find most enjoyable is helping students gain confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult. I enjoy creating personalized plans and breaking down concepts into simpler and more relatable explanations and then finally seeing the moment they understand the topics. Having completed IB myself, I enjoy sharing strategies that helped me achieve a good grade and most importantly, I find it extremely rewarding when students gain that sense of accomplishment.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Ive always been told I give individual attention to each student and create material according to their needs. My ability to communicate clearly, break down complex concepts into simple steps and adapt my teaching approach according to the student are my most valued traits. I also relate to challenged students face and approach them in a very patient and encouraging manner in order to create a comfortable environment where students can freely ask questions and learn from mistakes.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important thing a teacher can do is really notice the student; not just notice their grades but also notice when theyβre struggling, when they have potential they canβt yet recognize themselves, or when they need encouragement rather than explanations. I also believe in the theory that practice makes perfect; which is why I believe in making practice material myself and also conducting tests based on the exam style questions.
